This cape of contrast is home to tiny harbours as well as the third largest deep-water harbour in the world. It has heavy dock industry and the most valuable fishing port in the UK but also picturesque villages, honey-coloured sandy beaches and beautiful azure waters.
For as long as man has been able to build vessels that float, the Cornish have been going to sea and that tradition remains strong today as the Cornish marine industry goes from strength to strength facing up to the demands of a growing leisure industry.
