Cornish Pilot Gig Association Eddystone Challenge

Eddystone is a tough mental and physical challenge. Dependent on the weather the race has taken nearly 6 and a half hours in force 6 conditions and under 4 in force one.

 

The race takes place from Plymouth to the Eddystone Lighthouse in the English Channel and back. Open to any rowing boat, e.g. Quad Sculls, Sweep Oars, Celtic Longboats, Cornish Gigs and canoes etc.

 

A total distance of 40km in open sea, it is a long hard competition that's a graet way to show your talent on the water.
