Fowey Regatta and Carnival Week takes place between 17th and 23rd August. 

For one week every August Fowey hosts hundreds of visitors who flock to see Fowey Royal Regatta which is one of Britain’s premier sailing events. 

Not all the action takes place on the water - there’s plenty to keep landlovers entertained, from children’s entertainment to the Red Arrows. 

The events are all organised, marshalled and funded by the Fowey Royal Regatta Committee which is an entirely voluntary organisation whose members give freely of their time and effort. The week costs in the region of £30, 000 and this money is collected by sponsorship, selling souvenirs but mainly by street collections – that’s an awful lot of pennies in tins!
