Oar Making - Courses (NMMC)

Take part in a new series of traditional skills courses run at the Maritime Museum by the Boat Building Academy, Lyme Regis.Work timber from a square to a round section, shape blades and handles to produce a spoonbladed oar. You will need basic experience of tool sharpening and some woodworking skills to take this course.
Come along for a fun weekend by the sea doing something practical, or seriously build your skills by joining a number of courses.
