Pendennis Cup
The fourth edition of the Pendennis Cup will take place in Falmouth from 26th - 31st May 2014, with the racing managed by the Royal Cornwall Yacht Club and Race Officer Peter Craig.
2014 will see at least 11 yachts with a combined length of over 320m compete over four days. This dramatic regatta sees modern and classic superyachts fighting against each other for the honours, exploiting clever tactics to rise to the challenging sailing conditions presented by UK waters, balancing the extremes of tide and weather.
The Pendennis Cup is organised by Pendennis Shipyard every two years and in 2014 the event promises to be more exciting than ever. A full shore-side programme showcases the very best in Cornish cuisine and hospitality to complement the competitive racing. The week culminates with a display by the Red Arrows followed by an impressive awards ceremony at Falmouth's Princess Pavilions. [Read more...]

Watching the Racing
Land-Based Vantage points:
- The tower at the National Maritime Museum, Cornwall provides a stunning view of all the fleet whilst moored in Port Pendennis Marina before and after the racing (yachts leave at 10:00am and return 3:30pm onwards).
- The best place to watch the start and finish of each race is from Little Dennis (Pendennis Point) as the start/finish line will be positioned between Pendennis and St Mawes Castles.
On the Water:
- If you are planning on following the fleet on the water in your own vessel, please download and review the spectator fleet guidelines and ensure a safe distance from the racing yachts is maintained at all times.
