Looking for a placement
Glen Telfer is looking for a work placement / employment in diesel engine servicing and rebuilds. He is extremely interested in marine engineering. He has experience of servicing motor vehicles and is now studying to qualify as a marine engineer.
He is 31 years old and has completed City & Guilds 2451 Marine Engineering diesel engine servicing course and also Marine Industrial Studies all at Level 2. He has enrolled himself as of this September 2008 back in Falmouth Marine School to take the level 3 higher course. Looking for an apprenticeship
Mark Robinson is 16 years old and looking for an apprenticeship in Marine Engineering to follow a course (City and Guilds 2451 and NVQ2) in this trade. He has 10 GCSE's at Grade C including English, Maths, Resistant Materials and will have passed a Keys Skills Level 2 in ICT by the end of the course. He has also completed RYA courses in Powerboating (Level 2) and Sailing (Level 1).
A work experience placement at Falmouth Yacht Brokers was one of the influences that made him decide on a career in the marine industry. Fowey Marine Adventures have a Summer crewing job available
They are looking for one person to crew onboard a vessel. Anyone interested does not need a maritime qualification, but would suit someone who has an interest in the marine environment and wildlife. Its a summer job only but a great opportunity for someone studying similar subjects at college or university. Help with accommodation might be available for someone who would like to spend the summer in Fowey.
