Fowey Sea Farms is a Cornish family-run business which began five years ago. We grow rope-grown mussels on the River Fal and wild mussels on the River Fowey. The mussels are then taken to our processing plant on the Fowey where they’re cleansed and purified to CEFAS and Food Standards Agency specifications. We supply these to local wholesalers along with other shellfish (oysters, cockles and clams). They’re then sent on to local fishmongers, restaurants and hotels, and further afield to Bath, Bristol and London. We supply our customers all year around. Along with ourselves we currently employ three full time and two part time staff, and during our busiest times (the summer) we also take on students.
