Greenbank Falmouth Rowing Club (GFRC) was formed in 1949 and is one of only two sliding seat clubs in Cornwall.
We offer racing and social rowing in fours, pairs, doubles and singles.
The club is a member of the West of England Amateur Rowing Association (WEARA) and is affiliated to the Amateur Rowing Association (ARA), the National Governing Body of the sport.
The club has now relocated to Stithians Lake where we have recently built a new boathouse.
GFRC offers rowing and sculling to anyone over the age of 12. Due to a change in it’s location the club can now offer rowing to juniors and has three qualified coaches to organise this.
We row on a Sunday morning at 10.30 am. This is for those members who are not in a crew and wish to row, and it is also a time for members to meet and update each other on any new news, carry out boat maintenance and undertake any jobs that need doing.
If you are new to rowing or sliding seat rowing we offer a four week novice training course to get you started. If you are a more experienced rower you can receive coaching from within the club.
