Sea Sanctuary is a unique health education Charity that provides evidence-based health education as recommended by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE). Our work is commissioned by the NHS.
Our working platform is a large classic wooden yacht, which is situated at Port Pendennis Marina, Falmouth.
We combine the enriching activity of Sail Training coupled with health education, typically over a 4/5-day period in which our clients learn techniques that will enable them to maintain their mental health. This is achieved through informal workshops and delivered by highly qualified and experienced facilitators.
We have already been nominated for the ‘Innovation and Excellence Award' by the NHS in recognition of our unique and effective approach.
As a recognised RYA Training Centre we run various water based qualifications throughout the year, any profits from this are used to fund our charitable operations.
