Cornwall Marine Network goes green...
As part of Cornwall Business Week 2007, Cornwall Marine Network have pledged their commitment to being more sustainable.
Its superb natural environment is Cornwall's most precious asset, so it makes perfect sense for the county to put sustainability right at the heart of its vision for the future. Climate change and environmental pollution are perhaps some of the greatest threats facing the world today.
A “Day of Action”, arranged for Wednesday 27th June, is where Cornish businesses are encouraged to take some simple steps to become more sustainable. This Day of Action will help us all to put in place longer term measures that are not only more environmentally friendly, but also more efficient, leading to greater cost savings.
Pledges we can all take include: changing the route to work – such as car sharing or walking; turning lights off where possible; and thinking twice about what we really need to print.
